"MIT OpenCourseWare (MIT OCW) makes the course materials that are

Education in the Contemporary Societies

symposium organised by Akwamfon Sustainable Community Association of
Nigeria in
conjunction with the Sustainable Development Network Ltd of UK. The symposium which took place at the village of Ikpe
Udok on January 9, 2004 discusses topics such as the effect of
examination malpractice and possible solutions, debate for and
against youths combining education with business enterprises,
women’s education and general ethics among others. The
symposium, which was part of the Ikpe
Udok Rural Education Project, was organised for youths in the locality and
representatives of schools in the area were also in attendant.
